MAJOR UPDATE 0.0.4

After getting some player feedback I found a few critical things that seem immediately apparent to you when you first play.  The colors and models were bland & generic, the paint lines were a bit bright, and there were some UX issues preventing you from getting into the game.  We've also made some adjustments to the gameplay looking forward to when the UX issues are resolved and we are playing live matches with ease.

  1. Goalie Body Checking:  If the goalie makes contact with any opposing player they are knocked and pushed away
  2. Goalie Puck Possession:  The goalie can take possession of the puck, he can pass it, and shoot it (more of a lob)
  3. Poke Check:  Holding 'shoot' without the puck will freeze the skater's movement but the skater will point towards the puck, poke it loose from an opponent, or take possession of it when able.
  4. Shaders:  The toon shader has been modified giving some models new and improved anime lighting effects.
  5. Inverse Hull Outline:  'inverted hull' method was used to get outlines on some of the models
  6. UI Improvements:  Switching active inputs in and out made simple and debugged.  In Room logic has been updated to apply conditions to UI elements like buttons and prompts.
  7. UX Improvements:  Added splash screen at the start and before beginning of match.   

Coming up next the focus is UX first, then match logic, and game rules:

  1. Button Mapping:  You can map your own inputs and play the game your own way.
  2. Controls Prompt:  Adding several prompts in game to remind you of the controls.
  3. Sound FX:  More UI sounds to provide feedback.  More Sfx for in game events (puck hits post, player throws body check, puck bounce on boards, goalie save).
  4. Match Rules:  Keeping score, game timer, overtime sudden death, final screen.
